Chicken Biscuit Bake

biscuits
3c flour
3t baking powder
1/2t salt
1 egg, beaten
3/4c melted butter
3/4c water
1T lemon juice

filling
1c butter
1c flour
1/2t salt
4c milk
2c cooked/cubed chicken
6oz mushrooms
1/2c frozen peas
1c baby carrots, sliced lengthwise
1c small diced potatoes

in large bowl combine flour, powder and salt.  combine egg, butter, water and lemon juice in another bowl.  add to dry.  stir until soft dough forms.
spread half into bottom of 13x9 pan that's been greased.  set rest aside.
in pan melt butter, add flour and salt.  stir until smooth.  slowly add milk.  stir for 1-2 min until thickened.  stir in chicken, mushrooms and other veggies.  pour over biscuit layer, then drop rest of dough on top into biscuits.
bake 435 for 20 min.
