White Bread

2 cups warm water
2/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp yeast
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup vegetable oil
6 cups bread flour (like for bread machine, but this is made by hand)

In a large bowl dissolve the sugar in the warm water, then stir in the yeast. Allow to proof until it resembles a creamy foam.
Mix in salt and oil.  Mix in flour one cup at a time. Knead dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth. Place in a well oiled bowl and turn dough to coat. cover with a damp cloth and let rise until doubled, about an hour.
Punch dough down and knead for a few minutes and divide in half. Shape into two loaves and place into two greased loaf pans. (9x5) allow to rise for 30min or until about 1" over top of pan.
Bake 350 for 30min.
